Pneumatic tube system - how does it work?
A pneumatic tube system has several main components. A blower creates the pressure or suction needed to move carriers, which hold the items being transported. At a station, users load a carrier and select its destination. Stations also receive and discharge incoming carriers.
Diverters guide carriers to the selected destination and connect the network’s different lines. Control systems coordinate these movements and are selected according to the installation’s complexity and requirements.
